He was a member of National Grid’s Executive and held a number of senior positions including Director of Strategy and Corporate Development. His experience covers Europe, Asia, the US and Latin America.

Co-Founder and COO

Iain has over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive and advisor in the energy sector, including more than 10 years specialising in offshore transmission and interconnectors. Prior to forming Frontier Power in 2009,  he held a number of senior positions in National Grid including Director of Business Development and Head of Procurement. His experience covers Europe, Asia, the US and Latin America.

Director of Finance

Steve Noonan has extensive financial experience in senior roles including roles within the energy industry including many years as Group Chief Accountant at National Grid. He has managed the finance function for a number of OFTO clients and supported the successful award and acquisition of a number of projects.

Commercial Director

Meurig Williams is a senior leader in the energy industry with deep operational, commercial and business development experience gained at strategic and functional. He has led on new business opportunities for multiple high value global projects across the world.

Technical Director

Mike is a Chartered Electrical Engineer with electricity transmission system operation, energy markets, energy future strategy, commercial, stakeholder management, process improvement and change management experience. 

Head of Engineering

Scott’s role of Head of Engineering within Frontier provides overarching technical leadership, principal designer oversight, engineering due diligence and embeds constructability and risk management from an early stage in the project lifecycle. Scott is a 20 year career engineer and project manager specialising in energy development and multi discipline construction project management. He has worked with National Grid, offshore wind developers and infrastructure EPC providers on the design, technical specification, tendering and execution of large scale infrastructure HV projects.

Strategic Advisor

Steve Jennings is a Strategic Advisor for Frontier Power. He is an experienced management consultant and Board advisor who led PwC’s Energy & Utilities practice in the UK for over 10 years. He specialises in advising corporates and investors on the impact of market and regulatory reform and the challenges and opportunities arising from the energy transition.

Strategy & Commercial

Pinaki is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in financial market research relating to utilities and cleantech. His experience of analysing assets and companies across multiple areas in energy and beyond has made him a valuable asset in strategic and financial matters relating to Frontier Power’s projects. Pinaki's strengths lie in connecting the dots between different aspects and processes in multiple projects to ensure that Frontier Power’s broad range of projects can progress from origination phases to development phases.

Head of Finance and Planning

An accomplished senior finance leader with proven success in financial management, strategic planning, financial modelling, budgetary oversight, cashflow optimisation, regulatory compliance, risk management and corporate finance.

Experience in complex large-scale projects and cross-functional partnerships. Instrumental in supporting project financing for NeuConnect.

Associate

Phil’s role for Frontier is to build, lead and focus high performing teams to develop, commercially optimise and deliver HVDC interconnection and green energy opportunities to financial close. Phil is a 30 year veteran of the Energy Sector, an engineer by background and an entrepreneur with successful track record of development over a 30 year career in the energy sector, including as Project Director of IFA2 (‘09-14) and NeuConnect (‘18-21); supporting the development of Viking Link and Nemo link and the successful development of renewable power generation and battery storage projects.
